51 Methods - Vehicle Signage

As the "Free Agent Nation" continues to grow, I'm noticing more personal vehicles with signage on them. I recently noticed a personlized license plate (a realtor's last name) with stick-on letters "www" on the left of the plate and ".com" on the right. That's unique.

In my case, I have magnetic signs on both sides - I may drive either of our two cars - and I also think there are inappropriate times to have signs on the car.

But, a friend recently joked about how I might consider a national sponsor (he must be a NASCAR fan) and if I had considered Google ads on the bumpers. Brilliant!

I went down to the local SignsNow and ordered some bumper stickers, one with my Adwords text (adding a phone number) and another with two Google Adsense-like ads. Just think, a new form of pay-per-click if someone clicks on my bumper.

The ads will be subtle, but it does address something else I've been wondering. Except in a parking lot or at a signal light, who reads the signs while I'm driving? I wonder if I could get rotating ads like those Admobile trucks that drive around town. I'll let you know how the bumpers fare.
